Welcome to the March edition and thank you for being interested in indie authors. I have always been attracted to the indie voice, so it is not much of a surprise that I found myself following that muse. I grew up in the 80s and was instantly drawn to the DIY aspect of Punk Rock and Hip Hop as a fan, from the 4 track recordings and cassette tapes sold out of the trunks of cars, to the hand drawn anarchist comics copied on old Zerox machines. Then I studied film at Temple University, a program rooted in the same east coast indie/experimental sensibilities as NYU.
Today, it is so much easier to DIY, but always a challenge to find the audience without a big marketing budget. So please support where you can. You can find other indie authors at Indie Reads.
