Here it is, May. A quarter of 2025 has already dissipated into the ether. Thank you for being here, for being interested in an indie voice, the lo-fi DIY Punk Rock spirit. I promise to give to you what moves me and am grateful for your willingness to participate. Because the reader, the audience, that is not a passive role. Your imagination makes up as much of these creations as mine does. It will all live in your brain in ways that are unique to my perception, and unique to everyone else visiting this Substack.
Here’s what’s new.
On Story Corner, audio versions of my short stories, I present Anonymous. This story is a tribute to a literary classic, reimagined.
The next record spinning on the turntable in Vinyl Notes, the Superfly soundtrack.
The micro essay The Lonely has arrived at the Public House, the place where philosophy meets the bar stool.
Another stylized video synopsis of my novel Grayscale. This one is an excerpt of the story. If you like the video, you can get the novel on Amazon at Grayscale, a modern gothic mystery where the line between what is real and not is blurred.
A question from a reader about the part music plays in my latest novel inBlue is answered. You can get inBLUE on Amazon, a story told through a series of vignettes that intersect to reveal a single narrative and the secret of how the lives of the characters are connected by a tiny edit to reality.
And for the creatives out there, check out the latest Writing Prompt.
