In your face, provocative, political. If this isn’t Punk Rock, I don’t know what is. Bikini Kill is worthy of sitting at the table with Punk Rock royalty like Black Flag and Bad Brains, also in the “B” section of your local record store.
Associated with 90s feminist Punk Rock often referred to as “Riot grrrl,” Bikini Kill’s biting songs are driven by the vocals of Kathleen Hanna, who has contributed widely to the Punk Rock music scene.
This one actually comes from my daughter’s collection, but she lives under the same roof so still kind of in my possession, and I am the one who introduced her to Bikini Kill music. Originally, Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah was a “split album” with Huggy Bear songs on the other side. This is the 2004 re-release with only Bikini Kill songs.
